Quebec Makes Major Announcement on Skilled Worker Program for Canadian Immigration

The government has removed the allocation of points (6) that were previously available under the ‘adaptability’ factor at the interview stage.
Applicants who do not have knowledge of French but who have strong characteristics in other areas may still be eligible to apply
The government of Quebec announced that by October 1, 2015 a new online tool will be available for applicants for Canadian immigration through the QSWP, allowing applicants to complete and submit an application online.

New Quebec Skilled Worker program (QSWP) Changes (August 2015):-
• For a single applicant (un-married) is now 49 points instead of 55 points needed to qualify.
• For married couples is now 57 points instead of 63 points needed to qualify.
• Now much easier to qualify for the QSW program (Canadian Permanent Residence) because Quebec Immigration interviews will no longer be standard Quebec Immigration operating procedure.

    The much-anticipated Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) will reopen in under a week, with postal applications to be accepted from November 4, 2015. A maximum of 6,300 applications will be received for this program.
